Lead Radar Engineer 

Ainstein’s Engineering team is looking for a Lead Radar Engineer. This position will provide technical leadership for a radar development project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the radar system requirements definition, architecture design, key hardware and software requirements and performance, product design and development, validation, and production planning. The successful candidate will work with hardware, software, system, and test engineers to ensure design requirements are met.

Qualifications

  • This position requires advanced knowledge in radar systems and principles of operation, and extended experience in radar system design and development, preferable for automotive applications.
  • 10 years of experience in a relevant industry and a graduate degree in engineering or science are required.
  • Master degree or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, or physics
  • The following experiences are preferred: radar system design, waveform design, signal processing, electronics, calibration, antenna design, target tracking and classification.
  • The following skills are preferred: Matlab (or equivalent), C/C++/Python, FPGA, embedded software, requirements management tool, architecture design tool, project management tool, MS office. The role may require travel to Asia and other locations to work with development team and customers.

Radar Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Systems Engineer/Analyst to support our automotive radar product development. This person will work with radar product lead to define application and system requirements, develop radar performance analysis, design test and verification requirements; He/she will also work with hardware/software engineers to ensure product design meets the system requirements; He/she will work with test team to ensure all system requirements are met. This person will perform design analysis, develop signal processing algorithms, analyze test data, and prepare test and verification report.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Perform requirement analysis and flowdown; Define verifications test plan
  • Develop systems performance analysis and prediction
  • Work with systems team to define sensor architecture, and radar signal processing algorithms
  • Work with HW/SW team to ensure subsystems meet their specifications
  • Develop tools for test data analysis
  • Work with product/test teams to identify problems and resolve issues arising during development and test phase
  • Prepare documentation for system work product

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant engineering development environment
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience using Matlab or similar tools for data analysis and algorithms development
  • Experience with automotive radar systems or other radar systems highly preferred
  • Familiar with requirements development and management
  • Good communication skills
  • Well-organized and maintain good records

Other Desired Skills

  • Experience in the automotive industry (OEM/Tier 1 work experience)
  • Experience with in-vehicle test for automotive active safety product test (LiDAR, Radar, camera)
  • Experience with LabView/C/C++

Test Engineer

Ainstein Boston Office is looking for a Test Engineer to design and develop test and validation equipment for our automotive radar products. This person will work with product designers to identify testing needs, design tests to validate our products, develop test methods and the equipment needed to execute them, and work closely with technicians and outside providers to execute tests and analyze data for the team.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work with systems/product engineer to define test requirements
  • Design test methods and equipment
  • Specify and source test instrumentation
  • Lead test team to set up and run tests
  • Work with hardware/software engineering team to improve test process
  • Prepare test documents, including test procedure, tools, and reports
  • Work with test/product team to identify root-cause of failures and drive resolution

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with test engineering with proficiency in: test development, fixture design, and data analysis
  • BS or MS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience with designing fixtures and tools in Solidworks or similar
  • Familiar with basic electrical test tools like oscilloscope and multimeters
  • Good communication skills
  • Well-organized and maintain good records

Test Engineer 

Ainstein’s Engineering team is looking for a talented, multifaceted Test Engineer who likes to get their hands dirty. In this role you will lead Ainstein’s wide range of test efforts from sport simulators, flight test of small UAS systems and road test of automotive radars to sensor fusion systems test and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead standardization of Engineering Department’s test efforts including test case development, test planning, execution, data gathering, and documentation
  • Flight test of new radar sensors, flight control algorithms, and drone systems
  • Development, Validation, and Verification Test of automotive sensing products throughout product development cycle
  • Construction of test equipment for electronic hardware
  • Qualification test of small batch hardware for customer delivery
  • Occasional travel for field test and integration as necessary
  • Will require attainment of a FAA Remote Pilot Certificate

Minimum Required Skills:

  • 1-3 years of working experience
  • Fundamental understanding of engineering principles
  • Basic understanding of radar, control systems, and autonomous vehicles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill

Desired (not necessarily required) Experience/Skills:

  • Experience with one or more: C/C++, Python, ROS, MATLAB, Linux
  • Unmanned and Autonomous systems development and test experience
  • Operation and/or software development in Ardupilot and/or PX4

Qualifications:

Embedded Software Engineer – Intern 

Ainstein’s Engineering team is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer Intern. In this role you will develop and test embedded software and systems for new radar sensors and new product demonstration development.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop, Code, Test, and Debug embedded software (C/C++/Python) for radar sensors and prototype demonstrations
  • Demonstrate new applications for radar using evaluation modules and embedded processors (e.g. Raspberry Pi, Arduino, BeagleBone, etc…)
  • Gather data and test video to demonstrate simple application development

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in C / C++ / Python for embedded applications
  • Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar embedded systems development and test experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent; MS or PhD is a major plus

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Experience with one or more of the following: Git, Linux / Embedded Linux, Linux Kernel, FPGA / VHDL / Verilog / Vivado, Code Composer Studio, ROS

Staff Accountant (Part-Time)

Part Time Staff Accountant responsible for processing monthly financial statements including reconciliation of various general ledger accounts monthly and related journal entries.  Fluent in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Month end reconciliations for Deposits, AR, AP and Accrued Receipts and other GL accounts.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries based upon account reconciliations.
  • Prepares monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Set up fixed assets in business system monthly.
  • Analyzes financial statement variances between actuals and plan or prior year
