OA-Lite: Mid-Air Obstacle Avoidance & Object Detection

Ainstein’s newest aerospace product, the mid-air obstacle avoidance and object detection radar, delivers the extended range performance of the LR-D1 in the lightweight, compact form factor of the US-D1. Developed in response to consistent customer feedback and industry survey data from major aerospace trade shows, it fills a clear gap in the UAV and autonomous aviation market.

Engineered to enhance flight safety in complex environments, the radar provides precise detection and efficient obstacle avoidance in urban areas, forests, low light, and adverse weather. It supports real-time dynamic tracking of up to 32 targets within a 30 by 30 degree field of view, continuously reporting target distance for reliable situational awareness. Adaptive pitch angle adjustments allow the sensor to align with changes in aircraft attitude, improving detection consistency during vertical maneuvers. The system achieves a maximum detection range of 150 meters, with effective detection of smaller targets such as power lines at up to 40 meters.
